...Yesterday I received a wonderful surprise from some pretty amazing and wonderful folks. :) Some friends came over with dinner! They put together this really really yummy meal and drove over an hour to come fix it for me and serve my family. How great is that?! And to top it off, David knew about it, and kept it a surprise. My mom even knew about it and kept it secret, too, which I know took a great deal of effort on her part! :)
It was really funny how little things started clicking in my head, though... David mopped--with bleach--this week. Now, he's geat at helping me around the house, and does the largest share of the work right now, to be truthful, but mopping isn't somethign he regularly does. And he's vacuumed nearly every day. And I learned that the excuse he had for buying a 6 pack of Sam Adams the other day, while funny, was just a cover for the surprise to come. (He said he wanted it so he could get drunk when Obama wins. This is a man who has never been drunk. It was so out of character, but so funny, that I didn't see through it!)
So last night, I had a great surprise. When our friends drove up and David told me we could put the food my mom made away, I thought the car that drove up had to be pizza delivery! (Yes, there's a place that delivers here!) Anyhow, lots of fun! I don't think I've been so thoroughly surprised since I was 8 years old and had a surprise party at the McDonalds' party place! :) I wish I had been a little more lively and fun to be around... Anyhow, I'm going to have to get that recipe! I'll remember that one for years to come. :)
