Fearful, Wonderful, Amazing, & Cool!

I suppose this little story is just evidence that we are using movies as babysitters too much right now. What can I say? Samuel and Shiphrah never saw TV until I was pregnant with Solomon, and then they became well acquainted with Little Einsteins, Charlie & Lola, and the like. Well, we no longer have TV, and I'm pregant, so movies it is...

Samuel said to me this morning, "Mama! You want to know something amazing about me?"

(Me:) What's that, dear?

(Samuel:) When I'm asleep, I can play movies in my dreams! And if I can't play the movie I want to watch, I can make my own movie! Isn't that amazing?

(Me:) Amazing. You really are fearfully and wonderfully made, you know that?

(Samuel:) Yes! God made me so amazing! That's so cool!

Now, when did my five-year-old start saying, "Cool?" Must've picked it up from a movie...

Just wait 'till he's 8 and the new catch words of his age group are "lame" and "pathetic"!

It was great seeing you today! I didn't mention, but should have, that I loved your shirt! :) Anyhow, I suppose I should be content with "Cool!" then, huh? :D

Thanks..got the shirt at Target, several years ago...it's sad that I've gotten to the point where clothes at Target are more than I want/have to spend on myself...but it's probably good for my sanctification...clothes could be way too important to me :)

Great to see you too! Glad you had a great meal with friends last night...surprises are always fun!

They're not as important to me as they used to be, either, but I'm afraid that has more to do with my vanity than my sanctification! I just can't fathom buying clothes that have such a large number on the size tag. It used to be so much lower!
