Well, I was really looking forward to visiting Heaven today and dining at our Lord's table with Him (and all of you!), but I've now got the same crud the kiddos have, and they're not getting well with any speed to speak of. Today is to be extra special, as Aiden Samuel Goolsby will become a member of the New Covenant through his baptism. I want to be there, and so do Samuel and Shiphrah especially. Samuel loves Aiden's middle name (smile). Shiphrah loves Aiden's big sister, Sydney. Then, there's to be a yummy supper following the worship service... If I weren't concerned about getting all the babies in our congregation sick, or disrupting things with all my coughing, sneezing, and nose blowing, I'd be there. But today, unfortunately, I belong at home. So do our kiddos. I hope David wakes up well so that at least he can be there on our behalf...and take my contribution to the supper, which is actually my mom's contribution because she volunteered to cook it for me and I couldn't refuse. (Hey! It's spaghetti, and I'm a little afraid of the onion, garlic, and green pepper right now!)
Tomorrow, I'm supposed to have my 12 week visit with my doctor, but unless I shape up super fast, I'll be postponing that one. I'm a little curious about this visit, because it will be my first visit with my doctor as his patient, and I wonder if he's a little gentler with his actual patients than he is to prospective patients! :)
May you all stay healthy and enjoy worship and rest on this Lord's Day!
