Friday again...

Hi all...

The kiddos are sick. It's rainy. My morning sickness has come back this week. Normally a cup of hot cocoa and some cheerful music would be in order, but I think I may be in for a nap instead.

Good news, though: I found another form of phenergan now that I'm having difficulty with the oral tablets. For those of you who have had to take it, no, it isn't what you're thinking, praise God! There's a compounding pharmacy in Hendersonville that makes a gel that you rub on your wrists and it is supposed to work very well! So now I'm awaiting a call back from the doctor to get this approved.

That's about it here. There's an advanced handgun class being offered next week that I'd like to take, but will have to wait until I'm feeling better and some other financial priorities are met first (like blood testing our goats and spaying our dogs.) I took the basic class when I was 9 and a half months pregnant with Solomon. I can just see me taking this course in May of this year and being known there as the perpetually pregnant woman! :)

The following weekend, the CREC church in Greenville, SC where David and I visited on our return trip from Charleston the summer before last is having a pastor installation service. I'd love to go, but the timing isn't going to be good for us. I'd love to tell the wife of the really tall bearded elder (I'm so bad with names) that her mouth flick trick has worked wonders for keeping Solomon quiet in church. :) There's also another really kind blonde-haired lady there that offered her home to us whenever we visit the area that I'd like to say, "Hello," to. Perhaps another time. :)

I think I got the doe that I wanted to be bred this year bred yesterday. We'll see in less than a month if it took. If so, that means milk at just the right time for us this year!

So, that's really about it here as far as I can remember. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Billie,
Oh, no! I didn't know the little Ss were sick. I hope that you are able to get rest as you do what you need to for them. Ask David about what I have decided about a future little one and the dexterity (sp?) assistance that he will be begging for.

I should be working on Mom and Dad's powerpoint that I am making as a celebration of their years of marriage for their 50th anniversary but I am taking a break. It is fun but 50 years leaves a lot of pictures to peruse and doing it by yourself is tedious.

How are you feeling? I continue to pray for you, the baby, and your health. If there is anything that I can do to help out, please ask. I was glad to hear that Solomon has decided to speak his feelings for awhile. When the new baby gets here, he will probably move on with the speech at a faster pace so that he gets 'heard'!

David has been sharing his escapades in reading and phonics instruction and it is so exciting to hear. I reminded him that memorization is ok at this level but it sounds like Samuel is learning the trick of the trade. I miss working with that age, so
I am living vicariously through the 2 of you.

Oh, I must bring to your attention that there has been a strange "framed siting" in DW's office. The female is not you and the "kid" is not Samuel, Shiphrah, or Solomon. You might want to ask what is going on!?!?!

I miss seeing all of you. Hope it won't be long until you can come by!

Hi Selena!

Dexterity assistance? Is that where he will echo my prayer for an extra arm or two? It is clear that evolution is not how we came into being, or all moms would still have a very useful tail!

When you're done with that powerpoint presentation, I may have an equally large project for you that I've been putting off for about 4 years... :) I can't even get myself to begin the new scrapbook, and I'm already behind. I don't envy your task, but I know it will be wonderful!

At this point, you can pray. I've now got their cold, and it's no fun.

Samuel is definitely making some connections this year that he was not able to make last year. It is fun to watch. It's also fun to watch David work with him. His style is slightly different from mine, even though the lessons are all scripted. I'm learning a few things when I have the energy to sit in, and Samuel & Shiphrah love seeing Daddy in that role. They'll be begging to have him back when I'm well!

Sounds like David has a new frame for the new little one's photo? I will ask him, but do wonder if I'm right. Those photos that come with frames always crack me up!

I miss seeing you as well, and I'm so thankful for the days that you allow David to be home and help me! I look forward to seeing you soon!

Looks like I was wrong on 2 counts! So the new little S will be a lefty, you think? I'll be all ears as to how to teach a lefty to hold a pencil! If he/she is anything like Shiphrah or Solomon, though, Baby S will watch the big kiddos and pick it right up. It's amazing how that works. I spent forever and a day teaching Samuel how to hold a pencil. Never a moment with the other 2!

And Kim Moss holding a goat? I'll have to hear how y'all pulled that one off! Hilarious! :)
