Noah

At a month old, Noah is growing a comb. My other Ameraucana hens don't have combs. I know some breeds of chickens, even the hens have smaller combs, but not this breed. Noah is a boy. I suppose that makes sense that the only boy was the one strong enough to survive the flood. And I really did ask for it by giving "her" a boy's name. Still, Noah is getting to be a pain, hopping out of the tub and making a mess... Not something I care to endure for a rooster! So, Noah will be finding a new home this weekend, since he's too small to go in with my hens, but too big to be with the new chicks that are arriving Friday. If he were a she, it might be fine, but I don't want to take any chances... I will be getting 26 girl and 6 boy chicks and Noah will have a happy home among the hens at a farm owned by a friend of my mom. In the mean time, Noah is no longer in our tub, praise be to God!
