Today is the last day I tend to the animals on another farm. It has been fun. I've been awake by 4:30 each morning to go over there and get back before my family awakes. I haven't been up that early consistantly in years, and I've enjoyed it. I've also enjoyed the animals and am so happy ours will be coming home soon.
David has been working on the barn, but because of the rain, he still has about 2/3 of the metal to put on the roof. It's looking great! He's put up a gate and a goat panel, and I can envision the finished job so much better now. I can't wait! Of course, I still have siding above 8 feet. It's that ladder. I don't think it likes me.
This week promises to be a busy week between barn building, luncheons, dinner guests, make-up violin lessons... I plan to process a chicken or two today and my co-op order is supposed to be in! Woohoo! I'll get brown basmati rice again! I'm tired of regular brown rice and white basmati. I also need to aquire hay, grain, and other supplies--and quick!
No new pictures yet, but look for them soon!
