David was teasing me about my shower job yet again! This time, about not putting a picture of my work here! Well, I'll show you, and you'll understand. It's only 60% done! Mobile homes aren't put together the way conventional homes are, and I'm going to have to do a bit of work to stabilize the pipe and fix the hole. Thinking Great Stuff would be the easiest, but not sure about the mess that may make and any future repairs that may be needed... I'm afraid this is going to mean cutting a larger hole, patching in a new piece of sheet rock, yada yada yada... I'm just excited to have a shower that works w/o leaking, though! So here's my embarassing job:

Oh, yeah. There's paint peeled, unpainted drywall putty, and plenty of that to repair. We were just about to finish tackling a mold issue when this little leak sprung up. Speaking of which, here's another 60% complete job. In order to tackle the mold issue, we installed a new exhaust fan in that bathroom. There is a reason they put these in before the house is complete. Until the barns are built, I'm also just happy to have an exhaust fan that works. Did I mention that mobile homes aren't built at all like conventional homes? A bit of advise: if you're ever considering buying one--don't! Build a smaller site built home and add on as you're able. Anyhow, here it is:

So yes, our bathroom is more than a bit dumpy! Oh well. Gotta have a sense of humor, right?! And priorities, too. Right now, there are just a few more important things to get done. Like this:

What on Earth is that, you say?! Well, one will be for minerals, the other for baking soda. The goats will eat from them. Minerals because goats aren't native to Middle Tennessee, and our soil doesn't have everything they need, like selenium and copper. Baking soda to keep their tummies from getting upset when they pig out on fresh greens. My little helper is in the background.
Maybe by Christmas, I'll be able to update with pretty shower head and exhaust fan photos. Maybe the job will be 100% done by then! May you all thoroughly enjoy your pretty shower heads and exhaust fans! They're a blessing!
