The number one question we are asked as of late has to be, "How's that barn coming along?" Well, I'll show you! The barn is 16 feet by 42 feet. 8x16 is a covered outdoor area. 18x16 is the doe's loafing area--half of that with a hay loft over head. 8x16 hay room, and 8x16 milk room. The first picture is of David cutting the siding on the back wall off even at 8 feet high. The next photo is of the front corner of the barn. The openings lead into the milk room--one for me from the outside, and one for the does to their yard. The third picture is of the hay feeder. The does will step up on the step and put their heads through the slats to munch hay. The fourth picture is taken from the covered outdoor area and shows the feeder, hay loft, and loafing area. The fifth picture shows the hay room from the milk room before the wall between the two was complete. The hay loft is missing in that photo, as well, being a new addition and all. So what we have left are siding over 8 feet, purlins and metal for the roof, gates and fencing. Anyone like to work atop a ladder?!

Wow! You guys have been busy! Looks like a lot of work, but fun also. I'm sure your kids love it. Did you hear that Paul and I are moving to Florida? We must be crazy.Well, we are a little! We will have to stop by on one of our travels, although I like to fly. Paul is driving our car and Luke and I are flying. 2 hours sounds much better than 20 for a 1 year old! Well, good luck with the barn and all the work! Talk to you soon. Rebekah
Hi Rebekah! I heard! What part of Florida? You're not crazy--just gypsies. :) I think that runs in the family. :) You are most welcome to stop and stay a while whenever you're on your way through. I don't blame you for flying one bit--it's tough on a little one! Hope we get to see you soon!
I like that, gypsies! That describes us us to a tee, better than saying we are crazy! We do like adventure. We will miss Paul's family a lot though and they are VERY sad to see Luke go, which I don't blame them at all. Maybe they will come visit in the winter when it's frigid cold here and we are having fun in the sun:). Talk to you soon. Rebekah
