Samuel's Favorite Place

We put this up yesterday, and Samuel declared it to be his favorite place! Good thing it's big enough for our whole family, or I might not get to use it! It's really comfortable, and I will probably spend too many hours just lounging around. Once the hammock was up, I had difficulty making myself get out of it and doing any barn work! Eventually, I did, and made some gates. Here's a photo of one. When David came home, he finished putting purlins over a third of the barn! It continually amazes me how much stronger God made men than women, and what my husband can accomplish in so short a time!
Today, the piano is to be tuned. Shiphrah will start lessons in June and we want her to develop a good ear! I hope to put the finishing touches on the two unpictured gates. There are books to be sent back to the Norwich University Library. Then in the evening, we'll go see some newborn goats! These are the last of the 2008 kiddings, and not mine. I love to see them, though! Hopefully in there, I'll squeeze in time to make banana bread and banana pudding. (I have a few bananas to use up! :) Guess I better plan on making dinner tonight, too. I am so grateful to my mom for making dinner for us on those nights when I'm outside building until dark! She's a jewel whose value is far above rubies!
