Farm House Renovation: Living Room

This is the living room "before".  It was the staging area as stuff got moved out of the bedrooms for Susan to decide what she wanted to keep and what she wanted us to get rid of.
Here it is with Susan's stuff removed, tack strip and staples removed, a bad corner job being fixed, primer on the ceiling and walls, and the ceiling fan cleaned and with fan blades removed for painting.  The room remained a staging area for our construction supplies since it would be the last room to be completed.
I wish I could tell you that the corner job looked so bad due to settling of the house, but since there was no evidence of that (drywall cracks) and there were just as ugly corners in some closets, I have to conclude that it was just a sloppy quick job where nobody cared if the corner tape went on smooth or evenly.  I'm not a huge fan of sheetrock work, but I've gotten pretty good at mudding with all of the work we've done in our house.  It only took 2 coats with sanding in between to get it right!  YeeHaw!
And now with paint on the ceiling and walls!
Starting the floor!  David got all this done in one night!  I helped lay out wood and he nailed.  It made the job go a lot faster, and we needed fast as we were down to crunch time!  We were able to get the floor done and the baseboards in before move-in time, but David was wiped out and throwing up in the back yard from pushing so hard and long before we got the quarter round done.  So, when the garage is more easily accessible and we have a payday or two to catch up and buy some of the necessary trim to finish up in the dining and kitchen, we'll go back and finish up all that stuff.
Lisa has it looking mighty homey and cute, even sans quarter round.  :)
And now with stuff on the walls!
