It may seem odd to have a post devoted to the hallway, but a lot of work went into the flooring and trim and I think it's worth its own post! In this photo, the tackstrip, staples, and trim have been removed and the ceiling and walls cleaned, primed, and painted.
Getting started on the hallway floor--the transition from the living room to the hallway is one of my favorite parts!
Here's a closer look at it! David said, "How should we do this?" I said, "Can we do it like this?" He said, "I can nail it if you can lay it out!" So, I found the correct puzzle pieces and he made it work. It was a team effort and I'm mighty proud of it!
Lisa also put a new light fixture in here--it's just like the old one, only much cleaner! Here the doors and all the trim are up, but not the outlet covers just yet.
And because there's nowhere else to put it, here's a photo of the hall linen closet. The door trim on the left got broke in all the renovations, but I think there's a spare piece of this trim that we can replace it with when we go back in to finish up a few small things. Many of the discard flooring boards found their way to closets and that is the case here. They're not suitable for heavy traffic of a regular room, but sure have a lot of character and work in a closet.
