Farm House Renovation: Introduction

Back on March 23rd, I posted an entry entitled "Photos of Dirt" in which I opened with news about the farm next door for sale and our hope to buy it.  Well, we were able to do just that!  We closed on the farm (house, 2 barns, and 50.4 acres when it was all said and done) at the end of April.  By the middle of May, we were finally able to get in the house to start clean up and repairs as it took the previous owner 2 weeks (and a lot of help from us) to finally get all her stuff moved out.  I don't have "before" photos of all the outside mess, but I do have plenty of "before" and "after" photos to share as well as some of the progress.  The next few entries will be house transformation related.  In 6 week's time, we (with the help of Charlie & Lisa Murray who are now renting the house) cleaned up and fixed up this house.  I still marvel at what we did in so short a time!
