Necropsy

A little vocabulary lesson: Necropsy is an animal autopsy. We took Jack for one yesterday. Against all the horror stories I had heard, the folks at the state lab were gentle and compassionate with me. They performed the necropsy and said it was definitely a pulmonary disease. It will take 10 days to get cultures back to determine exactly which kind, and which drugs and/or vaccines, if any, could have either prevented it or given us a different outcome.
