Today's doctor visit

Today was my 20 week ultrasound. I found out for certain that we're having another GIRL! Shiphrah is most pleased. We all are, but she is especially. I have a myriad of photos, so at some point, I need to scan them (and the original ultrasound photos) in and post those. I also got a DVD of the event, which is really neat. David wasn't able to be there with me due to a scheduling snafoo, so that is perfect.

I also got another round of antibiotics, as well as a refill on that if I'm not completely well by the time that is done. This will be round 3, and I'm hoping we don't have to go for round 4!

My next visit is on January 29th and that is when I will have to do the glucose tolerance test. Sometime in the 3rd trimester, they want to do another ultrasound, because they didn't get a good picture of Baby Girl's kidneys.

When I got home, one of our bathrooms was nearly complete. Now both bathrooms have new flooring and one bathroom has a working toilet. We will have to install the other toilet when David gets home. I love our new floors!

Well, time for another nap. One this afternoon wasn't quite enough!

CONGRATULATIONS, Billie and David! I am so happy for you both. Now you can pull out all those boxes of pink frillies. However, watch this little S not be into dresses as Shiphrah is. Nahh...her big sister will be her mentor and show her how wonderful the land of Cinderella and princesses can be. Congratulations also to the little Ss especially big sister!

I am sorry to hear that you are still not feeling 100%. You must get that strength built up because May will be here before you know it. You are all in my prayers for health and stamina.

I am doing well but taking advantage of my down time and resting. I decided to get caught up on your blog and let me say that just reading it made me tired. No wonder you are still not feeling great...you are doing too much. The updates to the house sound great and I look forward to more "office" time when David really gets going on the next barn.

Can't wait to hear about the visit with DW's mom and the China stories. My cousin's father-in-law passed away recently and mom sent me his obituary. It was very interesting and made me think of DW's tales of his grandfather. I will send it to him so he can explain all the various jobs to me.

I was sorry to read of the loss of one of the Pyrenes (sp?). I am glad that Samuel got to have closure with her. That often helps children. Will you get another one?

I loved your yearly newsletter and the kind words about me. Each of you are a blessing in my life and I look forward to seeing you more after Baby S arrives. Since there are no grandbabies on my horizon, I enjoy living vicariously through the lives of my Shafer family. We have two babies since I have arrived and I enjoy getting their pictures and loving on them when they get to come see us. It is the same with the little Ss! Tell Jane I am envious of her.

Once again, I am so happy for you all. Take care of yourself!

Nikki, we think it's pretty awesome, too! :)

Selena!!! I'm so glad to hear you're recovering well! I look forward to catching up with you more soon, too!

We will probably get another GP but will wait a bit. It might be better to let Cinderella mature more, go through a goat kidding season, and then get a puppy that she can help me train. I'm keeping my eyes open, though!

We certainly cherish that you love on your Shafer family, and will count you as an honorary Grandma, if you like. :) Though, "Aunt Selena" probably has a better ring to it. :)

Someone needs more chocolate milk and I need another nap! Love you!
