Sick Kids
When Jarlath and Tripoli came home, Jarlath had a runny nose and a sneeze. Since it developed somewhere between Gallatin and Bethpage while still in my van, I thought, "Maybe it's just shipping stress. None of the other animals were sick." Well, now I know it was shipping stress combined with some lingering cold germs because now all my animals are sneezing and have snotty noses. As of this morning, all temperatures were in the normal range, and my shirt was one big kleenex. Like all new moms, I've been a nervous wreck! The boys had slightly elevated temperatures yesterday (could have been the sun!) so we gave Nuflor (a goat antibiotic) just in case we had a budding pneumonia issue. I have to give a second dose today, and that should be it. Of course, it could all be allergies--mine are flaring up about now. Anyhow, y'all can pray that the four-legged kids will get and stay healthy and that their mama will chill out! Several trips a day to the barn on this bum ankle are not what my doctor ordered!
