About 21 days ago, my mom decided to put some extra eggs in the incubator that the Roberts gave us. She did this for several days, until she had 25. With roosters about, she hoped the eggs would all be fertile. Well... so far, so good! The first of her chicks hatched this evening, and she has a few more little eggs rocking and peeping! Looks like we finished with the bath tub feeders and waterers at just the right time!
Now what was I saying about unexpected chickens and gifts...? Hmmm.... Do I really mean that? I mean, think of the Christmas y'all could have! :)
