I had a good reason to go into town today, and while there, thought I'd swing by and take a couple pictures of the boys. If I can't look at them in my pen just yet, I can look at pictures, anyway! I'm going to share a couple with you. Tripoli, while a whole month younger than Jarlath, is just about as big as he is! I'm glad they are getting extra time with their moms, but selfishly look forward to their arrival here.

This is Jarlath. Where did the name come from? Well, I seem to have a J theme with goats (surprise?) and there was an "Irish" requirement placed upon me, so that didn't leave many options. :) Given my propensity for out-of-the-ordinary names, Jarlath seems a good fit. His mom has the most beautiful face and head, and I look forward to seeing how he will grow and what kind of does he will produce. He will be bred to Hully Jane and any daughters of Jill & Julie that we keep.
This is Tripoli. Where did my J theme go? Well, I hadn't planned on buying him when he was named. (I had Jack.) I don't know what happened to the Irish qualification, but being the first triplet born at Standing Stone, and since Mr. Butler is a Marine (that once a Marine, always a Marine thing), Tripoli is fitting. I don't know if I'll be able to think of this little boy, though, without humming the Marine's Hymn! Being a Marine myself, and having been an Arabic linguist (Tripoli is in Libya; Arabic is spoken there) it seems equally fitting that he find a home here. He will be bred to Jill & Julie and any daughters of Hully Jane that we keep.
