Real School

We will be starting our fourth day of "Real School" shortly, and so far, I'm very pleased! The kiddos love it! The Veritas Scholar's Program for kindergarten may have been a bit of overkill, since the reading/handwriting materials and the math materials are so well scripted. I was doing more in the way of Bible instruction with them than this curriculum calls for last year, but I enjoy having this to work with. My hope is that the VSP will be more useful in the future, as we have more children in school and at different grade levels.

Samuel and Shiphrah are doing the reading/handwriting together. They're becoming competative! Shiphrah is doing better than I anticipated at her young age, and I look forward to what this year will bring. Will I have readers at the end of the year???

Samuel is doing Saxon 1 for Math, and Shiphrah will start Saxon K in September. Samuel is very good at his math so far, and looks forward to our study time alone together.

Now, if I could just discipline myself to get us all on a regular daily schedule!

Mkay, wanna be buddies this school year? I'm following along some of the same stuff and want to know how I progress with Molly and that I keep a decent schedule. You up for it?
