...and they really all do flow from Him. When you receive wonderful news, don't you just want to start singing the doxology?! (And when you receive bad news, it's just a little harder to sing it, isn't it, even though we still should) Well, today I received WONDERFUL news!
I took Hully to the vet because, lady that she is, she would not use the restroom while I was in her presence. I know she does it, because there are baby goat berries in her pen, but even if I stay for hours, she just won't. So, rather than being the bad guy, I took her to the vet so they could fish some out.
After all the stress she has gone through over the weekend--move, weaning, little pen and no other goat to cuddle with at night, bigger goats who push her when she's near them outside her stall, big loud dogs, loud roosters, etc., she should theoretically have really high cocci levels. Nope. She had three--yes, that's right, THREE coccidia oocysts on the entire slide! No worm eggs whatsoever! So, it looks as if we won't have to treat for parasites of any kind! Yippee!!!!
I also discovered that the vet will do disbuddings for $25, which includes pain medicine and sedation. Hully's needed to be redone and while I had a friend who was willing to come do it for me, the pain meds and sedation were the seller. That and getting it done now, as impatient as I can be!
Anyhoo, just had to share our news so that y'all can rejoice with us. :) We're a happy bunch!
