Announcement!

We learned of something yesterday... had thought about waiting a few weeks before we started telling folks, but it's just hard to contain such happy news! I started to write about it here, but David said, "That's how you want to tell people?" So, I decided against it. He thought I had gone ahead and blogged it though, so he started telling folks, and I started receiving congratulatory phone calls and e-mails before I knew that anyone knew! So, now you know. :) And if you still don't know what I'm talking about, then I'll put it in the words of a good family friend: There will be another "S" in our future! :)

Another sheep? I didn't know you had any pregnant sheep. Congratulations.

Or could it be double Ss?

I am so happy for all the Hallmans. It is a wonderful blessing for all of you (and an early birthday gift for someone).
Congratulations!

I don't often send electronic cards but found a cute one today that I want to send but accidentally deleted your at-home email. Don't think I can send it on the school one. I'll get it to you soon!

Caught up on the blog and must say that you have been a busy lady the last month. The two and four legged kids are all glowing and growing! You be careful out there in that barn now.

I hope to see you soon!

Hi Selena! (I'm not responding to anonymous. :) Double Ss... we shall see. I've always said that I'd rather 2 for the price of 1, but I might have to hire help if that turned out to be the case! (I'd pay them with eggs?! :) Of course, that would make anon...er David a prophet. Think we could live with that??? ;)

I hope to see you soon, too! I better come within the month before I get sick and hibernate for 3 months!

Hi Susie! Gram told me your bit of news...hooray! That'll be half of David's child requirement won't it :) I thought he wanted 8 or so. You're not quite up to us yet! Every time Kev hears of someone approaching our # of kids, he thinks we've got to outdo them :) I say sure...just as soon as you build us a bigger house!

Are you secretly wanting another girl, or haven't you thought that far ahead yet? Perhaps it will be one of each & then I won't be the only one to have utilized our family's history of twins :) Blessings on the pregnancy, as it is always such a wonderful change. The best blessings are those which require the most self-sacrifice. Between your children & your herd of animals, you'll be VERY blessed for sure!

Love, Jen

Hi Jen! We were just considering adopting a family that would have put us up to 8 children! But between a new baby, goats, chickens, and homeschooling we thought that just might put us in the looney bin! God gives 'em to us one (or in your case 2!) at a time for a reason, I suppose. I am definitely a finite creature! All the same, adopting does sound pretty good... (the not being pregnant that many more times part! :) Just not right now...

We would love another girl and for Shiphrah to have a sister. Of course, Shiphrah knows she's got it good as the only girl and hopes the baby is a boy! We'll be tickled with either.
