Progress

The bedrooms are finally back in order! The living room, other than some toys and a box of clothes not accepted by the consignment store, is back in order. The dining room table is finally cleaned off, and all the non-book items to deal with are whiddled down to a pile of tools and about 2 boxes worth of files and knick knacks (now stacked in the corners of the dining room!) The books in the library are on shelves, in their general destination, but have yet to be really organized. We're making progress!

All of this progress and organizing, though, has me itching to build. If I just had 2 book cases this high and this wide, to go here then I could.... And if I had another little shelf unit these dimensions to go there then I could... I tried searching Craigslist, but of course, I've gotten picky about specifics and that just about nips any "I can work with this" in the bud! I really don't need to be taking on another project right now... Building raised garden beds, finishing our bathroom repairs, kidding out another goat, normal barn and house chores, and resting up for Shiloh's birth are really quite enough. I keep telling myself this, but that nesting instinct is kicking into high gear, wanting everything to be "just so." (I really wish I could insert an emoticon...)

Ah, so we shall see. Last night, we had a wonderful Maundy Thursday service at church, and tonight we'll have a Good Friday service. Sunday is Easter, and I don't know if Shiphrah will fit into her new dress yet, or if I'll have to pull out an older one. I'm so behind in shopping that the boys are not going to get anything new for Easter to wear, and my goodness, should I be doing baskets? I can't believe it's here already!

Mom's birthday was yesterday, but in all the hustle and bustle around here, I completely forgot what day I was living in, and thought that today was the 9th. Oops. We picked up a really neat looking cake at Publix last night and a pot of tulips (hey, they're my favorite, anyway!) and we'll celebrate this afternoon.

Samuel has is 6 year well visit with the doctor today. Daddy is taking him while I stay home with the other kiddos. How nice that will be! We're getting a bit large to stuff our whole family into those tiny examining rooms! The doctor just changed offices, though, so I look forward to hearing what the new place looks like! And of course, all the new measurements and whatnot on Samuel. Wow. 6. Time really flies, doesn't it?

Well, back to bed. I was just out in the barn checking on the babies in the rain, and all are well--warm & dry.
