Tidbits

Here are a few tidbits in photo form of what else we've been up to since I last wrote:

We visited Charleston, SC over the summer.  My mom was able to come with us, and David's brother's family took care of the dogs and chickens while we were gone.  We were able to visit with David's sister Deborah and her husband Paul while we were there, but I stuck my camera in the wrong bag when we went to see them and didn't get any photos.  :(

Shortly after returning from SC, we celebrated Melonie & Shelby's birtdays.  It is the first year we've been able to celebrate with them!
Shiphrah got invited to the Black Belt Club.

David surprised me by replacing the floor in our bedroom!

Solomon earned his Twinkle Award in violin.  He's since learned Lightly Row and is now working on Song of the Wind.

My mom, the kids, and I visited my Grandma right before Thanksgiving.  (This is when David did the floor!)

Samuel also got invited to the Black Belt Club.  Notice, the purple belt, too!  Samuel is in the intermediate kids class now.

Shiloh fell asleep and didn't get her picture with Grandma along with the rest of the kiddos.
On our way home from Michigan, we were able to visit with my Uncle Larry, Aunt Anna, Cousins Christine and Cyndi and her family.
Solomon and Shiphrah had belt promotions recently.  Shiphrah moved up to green and is now in Samuel's class.  Solomon is holding down the Advanced Dragons for the Hallmans.  :)
Our bathroom finally got finished--that is, until we decide to do new cabinetry!  New mirror, paint, moldings, and shower this year!
Kitchen Christmas at the Kimmel's house.  We made decorations for the kitchen tree.  :)
David got his green belt just before Christmas.  My buddy Ann got her advanced blue belt at the same time.  :)  Our kiddos are in the corner watching!

My camera battery is currently charging, or I'd have a really cute photo of my mom and Aunt June working in the kitchen together from this weekend.  I forgot my camera a couple of weeks ago, but I got to go see Billy Elliot in Cincinnatti with a couple of friends from martial arts.  I think those are the highlights.  I'm sure that had I been writing, I'd have shared scads more photos, had a few opinion posts here and there, and gone on and on and on about my husband and children more.  They're pretty fantastic, you know.  But that will have to suffice for now.
