Electricity to the barn--Almost!

We've got electrical wiring going through conduit from the direction of the outside service box to the direction of a new service box in the barn.  I say "in the direction of" because it's almost there, but not connected.  We couldn't find the proper connections going from conduit to service box, so we have to find those.  I am excited at how easily the line was able to be run under our back sidewalk!

Heading toward the barn!
through the barn floor!  It's not deep because we will be putting concrete down for a floor over this.  We took up half of the floor in the feed room to create a solid wall for part of the wall between these two rooms.  It will be a feature of the renovated hay feeder and create more space in the feed/milk room.  Another part of the wall will also get reworked, but for now we've attached a gate just to keep chickens out!
You can see that 8 feet of flooring is missing from the feed room.  It was bittersweet to remove it.  I learned a great deal about how to use a cordless drill to screw in boards on that floor!  I loved my floor, but mice liked to live beneath it.  We will have concrete and that will be better--and the floor boards helped to make a great wall, so we got to reuse them and the screws.  You can see the new service box for the barn mounted on the wall, though nothing is connected.  Excuse the messy hay on the milkstand and the 6x6 post leaning against the wall!  Renovation is not neat!
Ground rod partially in the ground, electric wires coming up to the feed room, but not yet connected...  Exciting stuff!
