Today is the day I had expected my new Alpines to arrive, but various glitches have caused delays, and now it looks as if I'll be staying home from church on Sunday to greet them as they arrive.
My buck barn is freshly cleaned and waiting for new inhabitants. I need to repair a mineral feeder in there and if I didn't have a wee one that always needs holding and feeding, I might make some other adjustments just for a change, like maybe rearranging all the feeders. I do have a wee one, though, and not the time for all that, so fixing the mineral feeder will be the only "renovation" for now.
My Alpines are in transit, and it's tough not knowing exactly where they are or how they're doing. I wonder how they'll like me. I hear they are the "loves" of the barn, and really hope they decide they love me, too! I wonder how they'll get along with the goats I currently have. I am eager to learn their personalities and their habits and get to know them. I can't wait to take pictures of them here to share with you all!
