Billie, I have decided that I like Myrtle best. That is only because I have an Aunt Myrtle that everyone says I look like. I haven't seen her in over 35 years and she is now in her 90s, so I have decided to think of your Myrtle as her! So silly tonight!
I hope the goats and Little Ss are all doing well. I know the poultry is being well fed and spoiled. The pep rally incident was pitiful and hilarious at the same time. That hen just let David carry it around contentedly until he put it down on the floor. Then it sort of walked and hopped over to the students and let the teacher pick it up. She then carried it over for her son to pet it! We all decided that Samuel, Shiphrah, and Solomon must spend lots of quality time with the chickens.
Still hoping you take a break and come visit us soon with all the little ones and especially the youngest Hallman that needs to be fed more from what I hear! LOL Selena
Denise, they're doing well! A trip of that magnitude will typically make them lose weight, be down on their pasterns (sore feet) and give them some shipping stress (snotty nose). Well, everyone's feet are doing well, they're putting some weight back on, and only one has the sniffles, but we have good meds for that. So, considering what they've been through, they're stupendous! My barn is too full now, though, so I have to sell some Nubians! I'm doing well. My chores have about doubled, so I'm tired, but happy. :)
Selena, you're too funny! Come visit "Aunt Myrlte" any time! :) That silly chicken! David told me to get one for him, and I said it really should have been done the night before to get one that would run for y'all. Of course in the day, we couldn't catch a runner! So I took that little girl out of the nest box. They all have their own personalities and some of them are such loves! I don't know how God keeps up with all of us, because I can't even keep up with all the personalities in my barn (when you consider the chickens!)
Poor Shiloh. She's just starving! I have to pull out the infant-to-toddler car seat because she's now too big for the baby one! I keep saying I'm going to come visit, but I never seem to make it out of the house with all the kids unless David is helping me! Maybe we just need to have y'all out for dinner soon. We can avoid the school germs better that way, too!

Do they seem to be adjusting well? How are you doing?
