Yesterday, I had my routine visit with the doctor. Everything is going just fine. I'm starting to swell more, so probably need to cut out dinner and start eating watermelon on a regular basis. I'm also starting to think more about labor, the birth, plans, etc. but being about 7 or 8 weeks away, Dr. Trabue really isn't ready to "go there" with the questions just yet! I suppose it is good to have a doctor that has a "wait and see" mentality, though. :) It could just be that too much time was spent discussing other things... The walls in that office are super thin, and I heard part of a discussion he was having with a previous patient and had to ask out of curiosity what type of pelvis can only deliver naturally about 50% of the time. It was very clear that he is passionate about his subject, because he spent lots of time educating me about pelvis shapes (android, anthropoid, gynecoid, platypoid) and old measurement methods that doctors don't even learn anymore, but were commonplace in the 1950s, cesarians prior to good antibiotics, and all sorts of other stuff.
Last night I came down with a cold. Not fun. I'm feeling pretty rough today and hope this passes quickly.
