Solomon doesn't much like having his teeth brushed. It has not been uncommon for the task to amount to restraining him while he screams through the whole ordeal. If it doesn't get done, though, his little gums are quick to bleed and his dentist is a frightening lady even for me!
So, taking some cues from the Quantum Learning training David has done, we now have a "tooth brushing song"... I think the original is from Queen, but I remember it as the LA Lakers song... you know the one: We Will- We Will- Rock You! ... the -stomp-stomp-clap- one that you weren't allowed to duplicate during school pep rallies b/c the school bleachers were too cheap to handle it? Remember?
So, David's version for Solomon is: We Will- We Will- Brush your TEETH!- Brush your TEETH!
After listening to the original Queen version, David feels the need to add other lyrics. Regardless, Solomon loves it and gets pretty fired up about tooth brushing now! (So much for finding Thomas trains in his mouth. That worked with Samuel!)
ANYHOW.... because David wants more lyrics, Samuel decided to take a crack at it. While David wanted to keep the theme centered around tooth brushing, Samuel has other ideas. I have to share his latest because it really is just too much:
We Will- We Will- Brush your TEETH!- Brush your TEETH!
Winnie- The Pooh is- The strongest MAN!- In Ancient GREECE!
(sigh) I'm already exhausted from teaching him as much as I can about lightening and respiration (he wanted to know about them) this morning. I think I'm mentally done for the day after that one.
