In an effort to keep our hens from eating their eggs, and to keep the eggs cleaner, David ordered some snazzy nest boxes with roll out bottoms. They arrived yesterday, and he spent the evening assembling them with another new toy: a pop rivet gun. Those pop rivets are pretty cool! Nevermind the scroungy grill cover in these photos. Pretend the weeds you see are shrubs. They're almost large enough. Anyhow! David's next project will be putting this beauty up in the barn!

So that is why he is rushing off in the afternoons! And I thought it was because he wanted to get home and see you and the Little Ss. wink! wink!
Really, I like it when he goes home early because I can do the same thing.

He's probably rushing off so that I can milk at 5 pm. :) The nest boxes only took 2 afternoons--one to assemble and one to install. I like when he comes home early, too! :)
