Hoof Trimming

I seem to have fallen into a hoof trimming routine now:  Week 1 = Adult does.  Week 2 = kids.  Week 3 = Bucks.  Week 4 = Boers.  Today I did the Buck's hooves and copper bolused the bucks and adult does.  Next week I have to give the kids their next round of coccidia and worm prevention and their CD/T shots.  Something goat related seems to always be on the calendar.  The bucks, Showy, and Myrtle need to get shaved yet, too.  The dogs all need their rabies shots and Poppy needs her last DHPPV.  I'd give it to her if Solomon hadn't shot the vaccine all over my counter top!  I prepared it, ran to the rest room, and came back to an empty syringe.  Yay.

My milk stand just got a good scrub down with lots of water, a wire brush, and sunshine.  I'm pleased with how much better it looks!  Not that milk ever touches the stand, but you know.  It's just nicer.

It's hot out, I stink, and so does Shiloh (who incidentally turns One Year Old today!).  Time to hit the shower!
