Project photos

In the last post, I mentioned that we would be getting a new roof and exterior doors, along with making some additions to fencing and the barn. Well, here's the progress, thus far:
We discovered yet another reason for NOT owning a mobile home. The sliding glass doors in a mobile home are 3 inches shorter than standard, and slightly wider. So, David had to cut away sheetrock, remove the header, cut studs, re-frame and replace header in order to install the door. Additionally, we have our job cut out for us in finding the right size "stuff" to fix the framing outside, since the door is slightly narrower, and Southern Energy was none too generous with the vinyl siding. Then of course, is the inside. All our sheetrock is laid over regular mobile home wall material. So, in fixing the interior, we have 2 layers to put up, new moldings, paint, etc.
For some reason, Blogger uploads photos backward, so the next photo is of Samuel going down the ladder after checking out our new roof with Daddy:
You can see the fencing, pallate of concrete bags, and stack of lumber and fence stakes in the background (next to the barn) for the other projects, and our other exterior doors are currently taking up space in our bedroom. Below, you can see Samuel's first visit to our rooftop, and a glimpse of our new roof. He thought it was very cool. :)
