Shiloh and Karate

Since Samuel, Shiphrah, Solomon, I, and now David are taking Karate, Shiloh wants to do it too.  She has frequently imitated her siblings while they practice at home--her rendition of Sparring Form 1 is particularly adorable.  She likes to stretch when I stretch.  She likes to do crunches and push ups--though her pushups aren't quite right.  :)  Lately, when we all get dressed to go, Shiloh wants to dress up, too.  It is possible now that we had to buy Samuel a larger uniform--everyone moved up a size, and Shiloh can wear Solomon's old uniform.  She wants her hair in a pony tail like Shiphrah and I--she grabs her hair and tells me, "I tail me too!"

So yesterday we were at Karate and Shiloh was all dressed up and wearing one of her sibling's boxing gloves (pretty typical) and she said, "I go do it too."  I told her she has to be potty trained in order to start taking lessons.

About 10 minutes later, Shiloh said, "Mommy!  I go potty!" and started removing her belt and pulling up her shirt!  I grabbed her belt, told her to keep her clothes on until we got in the restroom, and ushered her quickly to a stall.  She sat on the potty, wiped, flushed, and washed her hands which is all well and good, except that she never went potty.  :)

When David came in to sit with us, we told him about her cute antics and he said, "Remember, Kwan Jang Nim (really, he didn't say Qui Gon Jin this time) said you have to be 3 in order to start."  To which Shiloh said, "I Three."  :)

I was potty trained with marshmallows. If I had known about karate, that probably would have worked even better!

Our others were potty trained with Smarties. I do believe karate could work, though! :)
